Highland Square embraces New Urbanism architecture and design, offering a diverse range of living options—from flats and townhomes to free-standing cottages—within a cohesive, vibrant community. Located less than two miles from the University of Mississippi campus and the popular Oxford Square, Highland Square provides students with a place to live, study, and socialize.

Recognizing a gap in Oxford’s student housing market, which had previously been dominated by uniform apartments and complexes, Reese Vanderbilt leveraged extensive experience in mixed-use and multi-family development to create the city’s first off-campus student housing community.

Today, Highland Square spans 60 acres and includes 132 cottages, 44 townhomes, and 40 flats, introducing a new standard of student living in Oxford.
